Has anybody encountered an odd tracking error with their mice where is doesn't track in the right-down diagonal direction? This was the "technical" reason why I returned my sidewinder X5, but I just got the CM Sentinel and it was working fine, but I had to reboot my computer today and it started having that same diagonal tracking issue. I have a Logitech MX400 that I use as a sort of default mouse, I have never had this problem with this mouse. I'm thinking it might somehow by my computer. This is an extremely odd, perplexing problem that I very much wish to resolve as its messing with my gaming as well as general mouse usage.
Thanks for any help

Your right this is a bit odd . I've studied up on those mouse's........ or is it mice....... anywho I've studied those products to see if they were wireless or led usb. Knowing you to be a tech head I should of known better then to think that you'd get a wireless. I can only think of 2 things that might be an issue. I figure it could be the mouse pad itself ...... yes I know I know you find this to be unlikely and so do I but if your led is being interferred with something on the pad it's a likely canidate seeing that 2 diffrent mouse had an issue in that same exact quadrant of your pad. The second thing is unlikely as well and that is your usb port I figure that maybe your usb may not be picking up the signals that your mouse is sending. One last thing that I just remembered was the driver............ I know what you may be thinking "Driver for a mouse?" As you know mouse's have drivers and well if the drivers arn't installed or if they have updates that are not downloaded then this could very well be an issue. To be honest I'm just throwing answers out there cause I'm honestly scratching my head with a perplexed look on my face. Maybe the usb driver also? I just don't know. Let me know how this plays out I think it's kinda funny. |

When was the last time you fed it and gave it some water. It just might be getting tired from all that movement!!! Try some gatorade to get the electro's up

Ditto All The Above! There also may be mouse pad debris, and dust, on the bottom. Wipe it off with dust cloth. |

Well I switched out my mouse pad for some white paper on a clipboard, I tried different USB ports, it was working fine before so I can't really believe that its the driver. I just tested it on another computer and it still had this issue. So somehow it is connected with the mouse, but how? And how is it the exact same problem that my other mouse had? Two different mice from two different manufacturers having the exact same problem on MY computer....it just seems to coincidental to be just a technical problem. idk I'll be sending CM an email about it. |

WTF!!!! Okay so I went to get the driver update, I also tried to flash new firmware (I didn't know that it wanted me to load a firmware so I loaded nothing) and it wasn't doing anything so I canceled....Then I try my mouse again after a little bit...and the damn thing is working again! I DON'T UNDERSTAAAAAND!?!?!?!?!?!? Absolutely nothing actually changed! AAARRRGH I need to know why this is happening lol. But oh well, can't be angry about it at least |
